Newton’s second law of motion says that a net force acting on an object causes the object to accelerate in the direction of the force. This affects rockets because the scientists have to figure out how much fuel is needed to propel the rocket into space. The scientists get this by figuring out how fast the rocket must be traveling to leave earth’s atmosphere and the mass of the rocket. Newton’s third law of motion is that for every action force there is an equal and opposite reaction force. This affects rockets because this is the law that is used to launch rockets.
