...port his family. He worked form six a.m. to eleven p.m., seven days a week. All the money he made was given to his family of eight. My father has sacrificed many things to get to where he is today. My father’s traits have effected my life as a whole. They have inspired me to set goals and never give up. His philosophy has had a major effect on my everyday choices and me in life, such as following my dream to become an attorney. “Anything you set your mind to, you shall accomplish”, he always preached. As young adults, we are faced with many challenges. When giving up on schoolwork, I lift my head to see my father encouraging me to work harder. When faced with peer pressure turning to my dad and hearing him finely state, “Be yourself”, helped me a lot by allowing me to make decisions that were morally correct and not what my so called friends thought were correct. The path my father has taken has enabled me to understand that we are continuously faced with challenges. For many of us college appears as a predicament ahead of us. College is the right of passage to a successful and fruitful life. Like many things in this world, college will not be easy.
