My Five Year Plan
...s are my educational goals. These goals are the things and ideas I have wanted to do for a quite some time, but, because of circumstances beyond my control I could not accomplish. I have set my mind on accomplishing these goals some within the next five years. My personal goal is to ultimately own my own legal office, but for now, I started a small business. This business is based and designed on paralegal services for busy legal offices. It involves legal document preparation, legal research, witness locating, as well as all other aspects of a paralegals’ function. By doing this I will gain experience in the legal field and more importantly I will get an understanding on how different attorneys work. The immediate goals I have set for the business is to be able to recruit as many attorneys as I can and provide them with the document preparation services at a reasonable price. I now have the educational background I need to be able to provide this service. The ultimate goal, however, is to transform this business from a paralegal services business to a legal office and to be able to provide the legal services myself. In order for me to accomplish this, I had to set some educational goals. I thought about what kind of an education was required, the complexity of the material I had to cover, the time I had to put into school and the financial burden I was going to put on myself. As I stated earlier the ultimate goal is to be a licensed practicing attorney. The education I need is not a very easy one. The classes are sometimes long and boring and involve a lot of reading. And the assignments are not always that easy. Sometimes nothing makes sense. The other thing I looked at was time. For the degree I want it is normally a seven year degree.
