My Declaration of Independence from School
...hen being forced to attend school I am being stripped of my so called "rights." Freedom of speech allows me to express as I feel. I'm being told to shut up and do my work everytime I feel the need to express myself. That too denies my rights as being an "American." According to the Declaration of Independence I have my rights as being an American citizen. What is an American? An American is free. What is freedom? Freedom is liberty, without being bound or constrained. So how can I be considered a free American if I am confined to a building for over six hours? If I am to persist with my ever day orderlies, then I demand that something in the system be altered. First off I would like to do away with early hours. I cannot function under most of my teachers' expectations. Then I woudl hope to see some of the rules imporve to most of the students' expectations. ...
