music is better in the 60's 70's and mid 80's than now

...r share of solos in songs today but they are not as good and as long as Stairway to Heaven it was a long solo and it was also very musically talented written song. Just the sound of Jimmy Page ripping off those guitar riff’s it is noticed that this song is the greatest known to man and it is not over played like some people say it is. Some people don’t agree but still the music is so for the most musically talented known to man. Eddie Van Halen (Van Halen) to Jerry Cantrell (Formally, Alice n Chains). Eddie has had four different songs end up on the “100 greatest solo’s chart.” He was one of founding father of Van Halen he started it with his brother, Alex Van Halen, who is one of the better drummers in the business. Van Halen had a number of successful songs with two different singers, such as Panama, Jump, Dreams, and Ain’t Talkin’ Bout Love. Jerry Cantrell is the former guitar player for Alice In Chains but left after singer Lane Staley died, either from a past addiction of heroin or natural causes. Alice in chains was also a very successful group during the mid 90’s with hit songs like Would, Rooster, and Man in the Box. Jerry himself had a song on the 100 greatest solo’s chart with man in the box. When Lane Staley died it hurt the world of music and Jerry so just about a month after Lane died Jerry released a song Anger Rises that was a very good song. In the in end Eddie would end up the winner in this bout because his music and how he plays is just so smooth and he is more creative about his music than Jerry’s music. Jerry’s wasn’t very talented but his music did sound very cool. He just couldn’t compare to eddie’s music. Now to break it down, in the 60’, 70’s, on up till the mid 80’s there were so many bands when there songs would come on the radio just go wow because the guitars were so great. Jimmy Page- Lead guitar for led zeppelin first CD was released in 1969 it was called Led Zeppelin 1, which featured their first single communication breakdown. Then later that year they also released Led Zeppelin 2, which featured Whole Lotta Love. Then to this date the have released 19 different albums. Thanks to the great line up of Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, John Bonham, and of course Jimmy Page. Jimmy Page’s Stairway to Heaven went straight to #1 song of all time. Stevie Ray Vaughan – Stevie has been one of the most recognized guitar players up till his death in 1990 in a freak helicopter crash. He had been and very successful blues artist even if you didn’t like blues you still listened to his music because it is so great. Before his death he released 6 albums, his first album Texas Flood won best blues album of the year but it deserved more than that. From his short life his music meant so much to people he did have 3 songs on the top 100 solo’s chart with Texas Flood, Pride and Joy, Scuttle Buttin’. He also had hit songs with Cold Shot, Couldn’t Stand the Weather, and a version of jimi Hendrix’s voodoo Chile (slight return). In most people’s books he was one of the greatest player in the 80’s. Randy Rhoads- He was one of the greatest guitar players ever his music was just unbelievable. At 110 pound Rhoads’ flying-V with polka dots looked bigger that he was. His career started out in a band called Quiet Riot with singer Kevin DuBrow, Bassist Kelly Garni, and drummer Frankie Benille’. Which was a good line up because Randy was in there. About two years after starting the band randy left in order for something new. So he ended up joining Ozzy Osborne also in the band was Drummer Tommy Aldridge, The first bass player Bob Daisley, and then next was Rudy Sarzo. They went on to release two CD’s Blizzard of OZ & Diary of a Madman with Randy Rhoads. Both CD’s had hit song and blazing and Classical leads by Randy Rhoads like Crazy Train, Mr. Crowley, I Don’t Know, Dee, Over The Mountain, and Flying High Again. Like ever other story this one had to come to a tragic end on March 19, 1982 he was only 26. Yngwie Malmsteen- This man was the start of speed guitar. He also mixed his talent of speed with a twist of classical music. He ...
