Just as one would take out their aggression in sports, others take out emotions through music. This is because the music triggers peoples emotions. It has the power to affect ones feelings as much as one’s words can do. When listening to the beauty and imagery of a song, the mind starts to wander into territories that are otherwise uncomfortable. Even if they are very confused , the power of music helps sort their scattered brain. This is why after a long days work, many find themselves relaxing to their favorite CD’s. When they hear a specific song, they can remember a special moment. For most listeners, they enjoy music they feel connected to. Whether it is a good beat, nice chorus or remarkable lyrics, it stays in their mind. This strong emotional sense that comes with music is why it touches peoples heart. Throughout its history, the talent of creating music has been a way of escape for not only people but musicians as well. It helps the writer express feelings that are bunched inside of them. Because for many it is difficult to talk about emotions, music provides a way to let out the hidden feelings inside of them. By this, they might teach someone else about their problems or learn about it themselves. One example is with Jonathan Davis of Korn. After being raped by his father when he was a child, he was very depressed. Years of therapy did not help this young man who considered suicide many times. It was not until Jonathan started writing and listening to music when he began to get better.
