muscle car era

...ovide the country with the majority of their capital has gone on strike. Before the strike Venezuela would produce 30 million barrels of oil a day, now because of the strike the country is getting driven deeper and deeper into a trough every day losing 50 million in revenues. So you might be asking how this strike affects prices in America. Well lets just say I now pay 7 dollars a day just to go to and from school and if I want to go anywhere else I have to put more gas into the stupid car. The OPEC target price for oil is 22- 28 dollars for a barrel it has been pushed up to $33 per barrel in New York so who has to pay the difference in the price, the millions of people driving around in the US. And if it isn’t bad enough that prices are going up because of Venezuela you also have to deal with the Russian mafia smuggling gas in and skipping out on the importing tariffs so each gallon sold from the local pump down the street has to be raised in price to make up the loss of taxes. Venezuela has already had to purchase 12 million barrels of gasoline from the US and also Europe. Now lets take a look at President Chavez and see what his background is like. President Chavez regularly verbally attacks members of the news media during his weekly Alo Presidente program, using strong and intimidating words. Given the polarized political situation, his critical statements may be read by his supporters as incitement to violence against the media. Local journalists have received serious threats and, in some instances, been subject to violent physical attacks. When researching for this paper I found an article written in the times in 2000 about Chavez and how much of a great guy he is the name of the article was New World Order. It spoke of how Chavez will create 100,000 more jobs for his people and he promised to build a thousand new schools and also double the teacher’s salaries and with a country with the annual revenue of 20 billion dollars I don’t see why he couldn’t. But Chavez got greedy and started lying. For example he put 6000 names of people on a payroll for a steel mill who didn’t even exist. See what the problem u...
