...ff about my father, but I think the most intriguing thing is the way he and my mother met. My mom was a best friend with my Aunt Barbara, and my dad had always had a crush on my mom. It wasn’t until one summer during my mom’s freshman year, when she was visiting home, that she and my dad started dating. My mom claims my dad was a “typical teen-age pervert” when he was in high school. I’m very grateful that he straightened up his “typical teen-age pervert” though, or else I wouldn’t even be here (and know how upsetting that might be to some people around me)! And then there’s me, I was born a military brat on October 24, 1985. Petersburg Virginia was where I was born. My Dad was commissioned as an Army Officer after he graduated from college. Soon thereafter my parents married. In fact, he fought in Desert Storm. We then moved overseas and I lived in Wales and Germany until I was 6 years old. After my Dad fought in Desert Storm, we moved from Germany to Kansas. From Kansas, we moved to Pennsylvania, which made seeing my family much more frequent. We moved to Pennsylvania in time for me to be able to see my cousins more often, and become closer to them. Every Fourth of July, my whole family, this including cousins, aunts, and uncles, would get together at my Pop Pop’s (grandfather Frey, being my dad’s side) and would have a cookout. We actual...
