This amount must be enough that it will motivate teachers to work harder to get that bonus. The idea of merit pay can be good for teachers, students, and parents. It is good for teachers because they can get more money. Teacher salaries are relatively low, so it is nice that they can be rewarded with some extra pay. It will also help to motivate the teacher and help the teacher come up with some new and creative ideas. It is also good for the students. It is good for them because they will receive a better education if the teacher is putting in that extra effort and it may also make learning fun.
