The next morning I got to school and was very excited. As usual I headed to first hour and hear the announcements; they announced the new squad and my name was mentioned. I was very surprised and shocked at the same time. All of my friends congratulated me for making the squad. That same day after school the new members had to attend a meeting. During the meeting we got our uniforms and the schedule for practice times. When I took a look at the practice times I freaked out because we had practice everyday after school until five-thirty P.M. It took about two weeks for me to know all the cheers and movements. The thing that made cheerleading practice bad was having to practice outside at the field in hot weather and walking three blocks just to get to the field. After getting the hang of my hectic schedule, everything went by nice and smooth. Since the cheerleaders did work, hard we would get rewarded.
