Where as two people ina relationship are very different from each other. Each person comes from a different background and has their own ways of life. Where a refrigerator and stove may come from the same store they both have different ways to opperate. One may be easier to work with, like in a relationship one person may be easier to talk to them another person. Also one person may have a particular way of life that they are custom to. Making a relationship work is using the differences to help communicate, for example telling stories about how each other grew up, and what they were like as a child. In personal experiences i have found that when two people are interestered in the same type of activities, such as basketball, they tend to feel a need to see who is better and take the games very seriously. In another example if to people are business type of people they would want to see who brings in more money to the relationship. This has the potential to be hurtful to the relationship. Also if both the individuals were in to the same sort of activities, then they would get bored of doing the same stuff all of the time.
