Maturity essay
...ogresses she seems to gradually gain an understanding of her death and why it is necessary. “‘So that’s the way it has to be with me…?’…‘I understand,’…”(Godwin, 18) shows that she was beginning to understand why she is being forced to die before they landed on the planet. Finally, a little bit before Barton is about to kill her, Marilyn seems to completely understand why she must die and they cannot all land on the planet and is while she is talking to Gerry, her brother.
