Martyrs of Faith
...nd even Jesus Christ. Many missionaries everyday are persecuted and some even put to death. However the people that Americans call "terrorists" who crashed the planes into the buildings on September 11, 2001, were also called martyrs when they killed all of those innocent people. Knowing the situations of all these martyrs it makes the man in the poem Life and Death seem inferior to all the others. This man died for his faith and like the poem says many people do. Even terrorists die for their faith because what they believe in is killing others who are not perfect. Even the people who were killed after the Holocaust for killing non-perfect individuals are martyrs. The man in the poem did more than die for his faith he also lived for it just like millions of missionaries around the world. Or did he live for his faith? He was a martyr to what, truth?
