...y Macbeth’s evil ambitions yet their fates were not altered. Banquo, after the prophecy was revealed to him, did not attempt to ensure their fulfillment but instead let fate shape his destiny. Lady Macbeth created a monster that even she could not stop. She led a horrid life and plotted the murder of an innocent king. She was unable to endure the excruciating guilt, and she was destined to take her own life. As part of Macbeth’s horrendous campaign all their fates were sealed, they were all destined for an early death. “Come what may come” (Macbeth I.iii.160), fate can not be changed; people are destined for a certain path.
