...th calls the three weird sisters “black and midnight hags”(Act 4 Scene 1) and making them look even more evil then he is. Another example would be when Macbeth says “I gin to be aweary of the sun”(Act 5, Scene 5) which means he is starting to worry that good is about to triumph over his evil self. Clothing Imagery was also abundant in this play, there are many reference to clothing and how the clothes make the man. Clothing Imagery is also important because it shows where power has been shifted. For example In Act 1 scene 3 when he is being told he has just become the Thane of Cawdor he remarks “ Why do you dress me in borrowed robes?” which means “why are you giving me something that is not mine?” Also when Macbeth becomes king, the robes he is wearing are too small for him because he stole them from Duncan, Just like he stole the throne. Macduff also makes a reference about “... Lest our old robes sit easier than our new.” Which means may Duncan rest in peace better than Macbeth, this could mean Macduff had a premonition about Macbeth. Last but certainly not least, is Nature imagery. This type of imagery includes anything from animals to pathetic fallacy. Pathetic Fallacy is when nature reflects what is happening in the real world. An example of pathetic Fallacy is when Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are about to kill Duncan there is a storm outside. When Ross is telling the old man that the king has been in act 2 scene 4 the old man comments “A Falcon towering in her pride of place, wis by a mousing owl hawk’d at and kill’d” This Unnatural occurrence in nature is paralleling Duncan’s death and also could b...
