In act one, scene one we already get the impression that bad things are about to happen, as the witches wonder;"When shall we three meet again....in thunder in lightning or in rain?" As soon as the witches appear, its already noticeable that they come across as nightmarish figures. The above-mentioned statement spoken by the first witch is disturbing as she has the supernatural powers to control the weather and this shows that the witches are trying to create havoc and evil in the natural world. In act one, scene one we learn that the witches' appearances display their inner evil.
