...im to do so. He became king just as she wanted, but when he was king he went on a spree of killing people. His ambition was to become king and was willing to do anything he can to fulfill his obsession. His ambition also makes him believe in nothing. Somewhere in the middle of him being pushed around by his wife and his obsession of becoming king, his conscience was playing games with his mind. He basically knows the difference between good and evil, but he is pushed more to becoming evil. Lady MacBeth is the strong one in their relationship in the beginning of the play. She tells her husband what to do. She however does not have a well-developed conscience. Lady MacBeth starts out to be known as the one who does not have any feelings towards anyone or anything. The death of Duncan is an example of how she shows her emotional side. She had told MacBeth to leave the dagger in Duncan after he is dead. He does not do as he was told. She then grows extremely angry with MacBeth’s failed mission and goes to where Duncan’s corpse lay and does it herself. She tells MacBeth that she would have done the deed of killing Duncan herself, but he resembled her father. This is when her togetherness starts to unfold. As the play goes on she realizes that she cannot hold it together anymore. Lady MacBeth comes to be psychotic and keeps saying over and over that she cannot wipe off the blood of Duncan off of her hand. She had a dream ...
