Wallace Muhammad was less aggressive then his father Elijah Muhammad. B. Louis was a major supporter of the Purist faction. 1. They rejected moderation. C. Louis resigned from the movement and started his own movement. 1. The reason was Wallace Muhammad was a Moderate. 2. New Nation of Islam was more like the original under Elijah. 3. Strict dress and behavior codes. Promoted all Muslins institutions and businesses. 4. New movement grew and Louis opened new Mosques all around the U.S 5. This got more blacks involved. 6.
