...nd backs them up. The conclusion of AA ties everything together better than my limited conclusion. Essay X, is very long and arduous to read. It has lots of good ideas, with back-up and examples yet the style and maturity of the writing is lacking. I feel that where my essay lacks in length, it gains in word, choice and at least more maturity in writing. Essay HH also lacked maturity in writing, and seemed to ramble a bit at the start. Like my essay it identifies Piggy’s literary use as a signal to show the read the extent of the boys’ digression to savagery. I feel that my essay, while being shorter than half the essays has more maturity in writing, and better development of thought than the others. I would have to rate my own slightly higher then the best one of these. I feel my essay applies more to the upper standards of the scoring standards, on the basis of maturity of writing, analysis of topics, and full coverage of the confidants function. I feel my story was worthy for a score greater than 5, because there does not appear to be important errors made. Although the essay does not go into depth into some areas as it should it is clearly not vague. I feel my writing style showed control over the elements of composition but could have been better in the lines of word choice and repetition.
