... still remains in some places. The UK is a Monarchy, an ancient way of governing a nation using a head of state that remains so because of birthright. Although a democratically elected government wields the real power, the royal family still remains. I suspect it will always be this way. The British people are very proud of their royal lineage. As a race the English people are outwardly calm and relaxed, to the point of appearing lazy and complacent. This is because they lack a sense of urgency, and they believe, why rush? They aren’t going anywhere! They seem to have no national pride, but when stirred they will become the fiercest of allies to a cause they believe in, even to the detriment of the race. The USA is a very large country, but when you look at the loyalty and passion that is held within the people, it resembles a unity often only found in smaller nations. We have many states dividing us from one another, yet someone on the east will find faults with someone on the west and vise versa, but overall everyone is your neighbor. The USA is run by democracy, an elected body that governs for the good of the people, the head of the country is called the President. I suspect this will always be as well.
