Living conditions in Antarctica!

...ard this ship were here for a purpose, unlike me who was here merely to make a documentary. There is much work involved in these expeditions. There are electricians, biologists, doctors, technicians, communications advisors, geologists, and navigators, everyone you could possibly imagine. Each individual was picked for his/her occupations. I on the other hand had to pay to come here! The smell of vomit filled the cabins and not only did I feel sick…so did everyone else on the ship. The sound of choppers was nearing closer which meant it was time to pack up our belongings and make our way to the helicopter pad. We all made it to the base safe and sound. The base was in a place called Casey. Everything was in Casey, kitchens, toilets, bedrooms, entertainment. There was really no need to leave. But what I did need was some sleep. It’s very hard to sleep when you have 24 hours of sunlight. The only way to do this was to trick your body into thinking it was night so your body clock adjusts, which in my fatigue, didn’t take my body too much convincing. We slept, and slept and slept until our bodies couldn’t handle this sudden change and was convinced that we had died…..and then we slept some more.
