Life as a student
... I did get to watch some great clouds, and see someone jump and then fall away really quick (to date, I have always been made to back up to the door). The plane (a twin Otter) also didn't dive down as steep as some photos I've seen. :-( I also alarmed my JM by asking him some questions based on stuff I had read here. He was conncered that I might get confused thinking about experienced jumpers' rigs and how they work, when the student rigs I use work quite differently. I also asked someone a couple of days ago, whether our student rigs were like the ones that someone (I forget who) mentioned, with the small "marshmallow" that allows a jumper to cutaway on rare occasions, but works as a single action system, if the reserve handle is pulled.
