...Another thing that I did not like about the book was that they gave to much information on the backgrounds of the mathematicians when it was not necessary to know all about them or their families. Concepts In the e: The Story of A Number there were many interesting concepts. Three concepts that I really found interesting were the concepts of imaginary numbers, limits, and Pascal’s triangle. I found the concept of imaginary numbers interesting because it shows a completely new form of evaluating equations. Before imaginary numbers were created it seemed impossible to take the square root of a negative number. I also found it interesting that there are many ways of writing complex numbers, and that it is able to graph complex numbers in a coordinate plane. I also liked the concept of finding the limit of a sequence. I liked this concept because you are able to take a sequence and find the number that it gets closer to. And just by finding the sequence’s general term you can find its limit. This is helpful because most of the times the sequence is long and complicated and that makes it difficult to find it’s li...
