...y. Establish credibility: For the class to understand how blood is flowed through the heart and how the blood flow provides nutrients to the body. Preveiw: The cardiovascular system is important because it provides the bodies necessary nutrient requirements. There are two different circuts involved in making the blood flow through the body. There is the pulmonary circut which is required to reoxygenate the unoxygenated blood. Then there is the systemic circut which allows for blood flow thourghout the body. BODY I. The pulmonary circuit is required to reoxygenate blood that is unoxygenated. A. The pulmonary circuit consists of the right side of the heart 1. Blood flow into right side of the heart 2. Blood flow out of the right side of the heart B. The pulmonary circuit also includes the lungs. 1. Unoxygenated blood enters the lungs 2. Oxygenated blood leaves lungs II. The systemic circuit allows blood flow throughout the body. A. The left side of the heart makes up the beginning of this sestem. 1. Blood flow entering the left side fo the heart 2. Blood flow exiting the heart B. Blood circulation within the body allows for gas and nutrient exchange between tissues. 1. Nutrient diffusion 2. Capillaries, arteries, and veins CONCLUSION ...
