If the subject opened the door that hides a beautiful woman, it is declared that he is innocent and he can take the woman with him back home; but if the subject opened the door that hides a tiger behind, then, of course, he would be tossed apart within no-time. In this chance-justice, a criminal could get wife back home, and the innocent could get killed. But people cannot defend themselves, but by the chance. Of course this chance-justice does have good aspect, that is, everybody get the same chance, no matter who they are; life is determined by their own fate. In democracy, justice is not the product of chance, but evidence. When people have a suspect, they will look for all the evidences they can find to prove if the suspect is innocent or sinned. In democratic justice system, there are judges, attorneys, and jurors. Suspects can hire attorneys to defend for them; according to the debates among attorneys and the evidences they provide, jurors aid judge to decide; judge makes final decision. I remember there was a saying, “In strongest, there lies the weakest.” Through this practice, suspects will usually be justified rightly for what they did. But as it always happens, corruption happens in everywhere among human being. When corruption happens in the democratic justice system, it will not be justice anymor...
