...s soon as I read this it made me think of class and how we have been studying the correctional systems and what they are like. Since we are going to a correctional facility I thought this article was very fitting. The Article mentions how some prisoners are just walking out of the correctional institution. In 2000 eighty two prisoners fled from jail. It talks about how once a prisoner has escaped it is not hard for them to get away. One prisoner mentioned in the article called a cab from outside the prison and asked the driver to take him to the nearest bus station. All the different ways that were mentioned in the article and how they could have easily been prevented should raise some questions. What is the atmosphere like in these facilities?
