John Lennon "Imagine there's no Hell"
...rs for, and some would lay down there own lives to posses. Lennon goes on to write, "Imagine no possessions…I wonder if you can". If society gave up their assets and lived off the land, lived off the philosophy of Locke that all men are naturally good compiled with Lennon's believes that all we need, we have than we would be free in Lennon's eyes. Lennon tries to clearly express that possessions, and other activities, "And no religion too", separate us from living and being free. Lennon puts the thoughts in your mind to only imagine what life could be like. Imagine living in peace, imagine nothing getting in the way of the natural role in life, to live with what we have not what we innovate. Imagine that we would not create more confusion among ourselves to be divided by class, color, beliefs, or what we lack or posses. Lennon tells us that these are his dreams, these are his freedoms. He wants to live in peace, not just with on another but within your own self. If you are at peace with yourself and society than you truly are free. "You say I'm a dreamer…But I'm not the only one". Lennon knows that these are huge goals in which to strive, but he also knows that they can be accomplished because he is not the only one that wants to work towards these.
