After all this is what the article is about. But he ties in the problems with the global warming situation. Association is also very strong in several paragraphs. Mr. Kluger links several countries together in reference to their conservative nature. He then tells us that plenty of people surveyed say that President Bush should develop a program to address the global warming situation. The composition was the most evident part of Ranks Model in this article. Graphic layout with several charts and visual drawings help aid the authors core arguement. On page 31, we see the smoke stack visual aid which help Mr. Kluger argue the fact of the pollution factor, and that other countries are fairly non-pollutant (as opposed to the US). As far as the downplay factor, evidence proves that most would fall the other way. However. some downplay is apparent. Omission is somewhat there when Mr. Kruger talks about the categories of developing countries. He talks about China and India having the CO2 waiver while the U.S. had to carry its share. This to me carries half true information, as well as uses diversion. In fact, the shifting of the truth (diversion) to the CO2 waiver makes an unclear transition to bogus facts. Then, the featured CNN / Time Poll talks about how the people want action-unless the price is too high. Maybe I’m wrong, but that seems a to far out there to even be understandable. The “How to ward off disaster” section was well rounded, but a little unclear. As I said from the start, Mr. Kruger has a good point, but he sort of confuses (confusion) us (the reader) when he blind sides the solutions to conservation (pg. 34).
