Jasper Johns and his influence on art today

Johns also frequently “borrows” images (as explained in your class) from other artists. By the end of the 1950s, Johns moved on from the style and started experimenting with others. In False Start (1959), he revealed to people a difference between colors and the words that name them. Johns' growing focus and dedication for his style of craft turned him to printmaking in 1960. Comparing his style to other different ones, it stands him out in this art world because what counts is originality. Good art to some, to others not as good. His style has brought to many people a different way of seeing things. Letting everyone know that art represents anything that expresses your views on anything. Doing this report hopefully makes other art students realize these things, and not have a closed mind.
