James Harold on Drugs
...a Whipple. California, along with her mother, her brother Butte, her two sisters, Sierra and Prairie, travel to the state of California. When she gets to California, she hates it and changes her name from California to Lucy. This book takes place in Gold Rush times (mid 1800s). My favorite part is when they celebrate Independence Day and a miner climbs into a tree, fires his pistol into the air, then falls out of the tree. The saddest part is when her brother, Butte, dies of disease. -- This book review was written by 2001 Page Flipper Rowan The Boxcar Children - Gertrude Chandler Warner Because they were mysteries and because they are chapter books. -- This book review was written by Ryan The Bracelet - Yoshiko Uchida I learned a lot from it. -- This book review was written by Nicole Bridge to Terebithia - Katherine Paterson It is about a boy and a girl who create a fantasy land all for them selves. They call this land Terebithia. Everything goes smoothly until a terrible accident happens that affects everyone. Will things ever be the same? My favorite part was when Leslie, to the boys' despair, wins the running race. The reason why I gave it only four stars was because it has a very depressing ending. -- This book review was written by 2001 Page Flipper Natalie Bunnicula - Deborah Howe and James Howe -- This book review was submitted by Alicia Caddie Woodlawn - Carol Ryrie Brink The book was about three kids who go on lots of adventures and do lots of work. My favorite part of this book was when Tom told a storty about Pee Wee. It was about an old farmer who told his friends that a bird was making fun of his name and everytime he would throw something at it, it would come back and kill something. -- This book review was written by 2001 Page Flipper Herman Caddie Woodlawn in a girl who lives in Wisconsin with her family. A while after Caddie's father told the story, a letter arrives in the mail from England. They want Caddie's father to be a duke of England. The whole family votes to either stay or go to England. They end up staying in Wisconsin with an adventurous life. I would recommend this book to anyone who just wants to read a good book. I give it 5 stars!
