Therefore, it is lucid that the U.S. Government murdered Kennedy the day he visited Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963. When President Kennedy took office he said, “A new generation of America had been taken over the leadership of the country” (“Kennedy” 260). This states that he was aware of being different from most presidents that have taken office. It is why there were people inside the U.S. Government who collaborated in his assassination. It was Lee Harvey Oswald who assassinated the President and rumors surfaced that Oswald had been connected in some way to a U.S. Government CIA (Duffy and Ricci 255). It is evident that the government had to be behind the assassination because they thought of Kennedy as an impediment to accomplish certain things that Kennedy would never agree to. Perhaps that Kennedy wanted to notify more people than the ones who already knew about the alien body and unrecognized flying object (galegroup.com/assassinated). Among the different points of views, the most important was that there were times when Kennedy did not follow the general’s military advice. Throughout the American History, it was usual that the President would follow the general’s military advice, but Kennedy was against the general’s ideas. Generals thought that by bombing the Soviets with a nuclear bomb it would end Communism, and Kennedy believed the opposite. Kennedy did not want to use nuclear weapons during the Cold War, he knew that it would only make the situation with the Soviets worse than what it already was, and that even if they defeat the Soviets they would still need to eradicate the other Communist Nations. After the Cuban Missile Crisis many people inside the government considered the fact that Kennedy was against the military strategies. During the Cuban Missile Crisis Kennedy denied the authorization to invade the Soviet’s military base even after being informed that they had stationed a missile base in Cuba, where it was a big threat to the United States (“Cuban Missile Crisis” 1180). Right when the tensions between the U.S. and the Soviets were at zenith and it seemed that Kennedy had no option but to begin a nuclear war, he made an agreement with the Soviet Union. Since Kennedy was absolutely against a nuclear attack, he made a secret agreement with the Soviet Union that solved the Cuban Missile Crisis. Most of the Army Generals were not fully convinced of the agreement (“Cuban Missile Crisis” 1180). Before Kennedy died, he wanted to remove the U.S. troops from Vietnam even though the army did not agree with his idea (ibiblio.org/jfk). The government’s best interest was to prevent him from doing the same with Vietnam just as he did in the Bay of Pigs. Another important reason that the U.S. Government had to assassinate President Kennedy was because he let Cuba stay under Communism and in power of Fidel Castro. The U.S. Government was not too certain when Kennedy promised the Soviet Union that the U.S. would not invade Cuba as long as they remove the missiles from Cuba. The government thought that Kennedy was solving the Cuban Missile Crisis but not preventing the spread of Communism (“Cuban Missile Crisis” 1180).
