I read on the jar that it is also available in Apple Cinnamon and Berry Blend. Now how about the jelly? There are two different types: preserves and jelly. Preserves have chunks of the fruit in it and jelly does not. Like the chunky peanut butter, I prefer the preserves because you get fruity chunks in every bite. Probably the most commonly used flavors are grape and strawberry. My favorite, however, is raspberry preserves. Some may also prefer blueberry or blackberry flavors. Now, on to the bread. Homemade bread is always a hit, but if you don’t have that much time to spend in the kitchen, then store-bought bread will do just fine. I think that white or wheat bread is typically used in making the ever-popular peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Some people also like to use sesame bread. My mom really likes to use whole grain bread because it’s dense and it holds up well when spreading the peanut butter. Crust or no crust? That is the question! Some people are very picky about their sandwiches. While it is mostly children who don’t like the crust, there are some adults who cut the crusts off their sandwiches. I’m a crust person. My mom always taught me that cutting off the crusts was wasteful and that I should eat the whole thing, crust and all. Any way you slice it, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches taste great. It’s all a matter of preference as to which way you cut your sandwich. Some like it cut vertically and some like it cut diagonally. Just typing this paper has given me a craving so I just made myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and I cut it into squares. To make it fun for kids, some parents like to cut the sandwiches into fun shapes with cookie cutters. There are also many fun peanut butter and jelly sandwich combos you can try. For example, peanut butter and jelly with bananas is really great (and the bananas provide extra nutritional value). Peanut butter, jelly, and fluff is really fun for kids. Fluff is a gooey, spreadable, marshmallow substance and it is usually used with just peanut butter to make the Fluffernutter sandwich. But it is good with jelly too.
