The Muslim belief in the jihad has extremely affected history. Some Islamic people have taken this belief to the limit and because of it terrorist groups have formed. Terrorist groups have affected history because of the wild and crazy things they do. September 11th is one day in history that will never be forgotten because of these extremists and the terror they caused. Judaism, another monotheistic religion that has helped to shaped human society. Its holy book or writing is the Torah and the Ten Commandments are one of the major beliefs of Judaism. These are the laws and rules that they follow and have even influenced our laws today. They believe in giving as much charity and aid as they can and just like Islam they do not eat pork. They believe that male babies should be circumcised and live by justice, fairness and humanity. Another major belief of the Jewish is that Israel is the holy land that was promised to them by God. This has caused much conflict in the world today. There is much fighting in the Middle East over this land and which religion has superior right to it. One of the biggest impacts that Judaism had on the world was it gave rise to Christianity. The religion of Christianity was formed from a group of people who broke away from Judaism and started their own religion. Christianity and its beliefs are based upon those of Judaism. Christianity is yet another religion that has helped to shape society and impact history. Christians believe in one God, and that Jesus is His son. Unlike Judaism and Islam, Christianity believes in both the New Testament and the Old Testament. They believe that Jesus is the Son of God born by the Virgin Mary, that Jesus had the power to heal and cure illness and that he was crucified and died to take back the sins of the world.
