Worship within a religion serves as a window to the presence of the sacred mystery to individuals or the community. Without worship, the ‘mystery’ will not be sacred and there is no rationale to believing in God. If by believing in God means not willing to worship, then the religion has not become a way of life. The religion should have genuine disciples which feel a strong need to devote themselves in worship, thought and deeds to the sacred mystery that calls them to a fuller life.
