Is it possible to end racism?
...gating this subject, it is evident that racism is endless. There are three different levels of racism, which are individual, institutional, and structural, and in this speech, I will state why racism cannot be eliminated. In the level of individual, negative attitudes are set regarding others. there are sets of ideas or beliefs comprehended by a person who may or may not act upon them. For instance, a person may dislike others because of their racial backgrounds or their physical appearance. THESE PERSON POSSES HIS/her paradigm about others with full rights. Unlikely, his or her perceptions about others cannot be shifted by others but by themselves. Thus, until people are aware of how pessimistic racism is and admit that they are practicing it, which is not likely to happen, racism can’t be ceased. Institutional racism, also known as systematic racism takes place when policies, rules or regulations show different treatment to certain groups of people within an organization, institution or society in general. For instance, a company may select its employee’s according to their race. The perceptions identified within the regulations, rules, or policies about those certain groups won’t be shifted by that organization because they have been set so that the social interaction and the rank of that group can be controlled or managed. Since racism is considered beneficial in this case, it will be unworthy for institutions or organizations to eliminate racism no matter how severe it’s effects are. Furthermore, in the level of structural racism, there are inequalities found in society laying out the placement of racial groups’ in particular categories and class positions.
