... playing because it happens to a lot of people and they just suck it up and continue to love the game. The author says that football is terrible and he would not recommend playing it. He states that no parent should let their kids play football. This statement is completely absurd. Just because he got hurt does not mean everyone will. If my son says that he wants to play football I won’t stop him because I know I hate it when someone tells me to do or don’’t do something. Also, I will not force my son if he doesn’t want to. Football is a patriotic and traditional game in this country and if kids stop playing it then that tradition will be over. Sure I feel sorry for you and hope you get better but you should not down something if it is not good to you. The author says that football is just like war. He states that in football the main goal is to win and hurt the other team also the same goals in war. I once again totally disagree with him. Sure the main goal of football and war is the win but one of the main traditions of football is that players help each other out even if they are on the other team and both teams always give hugs and handshakes after the game is over.
