People may feel that if you can’t be trusted not to embarrass yourself in business and social situations, you may lack the self-control necessary to be good at what you do. Etiquette is about presenting yourself with the kind of polish that shows you can be taken seriously. Etiquette is also about being comfortable around people and making them comfortable around you. Purpose, Scope, and Limitations This report is about business etiquette and is submitted to Dr. James Ellzy, Professor, College of Business. The purpose of this report is to give the reader pertinent information about the ins and outs of business etiquette. Sources and Methods In preparing this report, there were many different sources to rely on such as different types of books, articles, and websites to refer to. Report Organization This report reviews the major do’s and don’t’s of preparing for the business world. The intirety of the report shows how men and women should dress for the interview, the way that men and women should dress in the office, and the proper use of making introductions.
