Bin Laden, a terrorist who made his mark on the world for a series of suicide bombings as an act of terrorism. As a society we instantly have a negative association with Bin Laden character. Eminem portrays himself as a menus and terror to society creating “turbulence” and telling it how it really is in the world (which is his opinion and not necessarily correct). So by dressing up as Bin Laden and dancing on his video clip we instantly see him in a negative light backing up thesis of “stirring shit” to uncover and explore problems in society. By dancing he is mocking America because they could not catch the terror and gives the idea that he supports what Bin Laden has done. Batman and Robin, two well-known super heroes crated by the comic distributors DC. When I see these super hero’s I get the idea of fighting for truth, justice and the American way. As Eminem and Dr Dre (a black rapper) dress up as these fictional comic book characters to “pull the piss” at the same time he is attacking truth, justice and of course the American way. “Looks like batman’s got his own Laden” positions the reader to associate batman with bin laden. We look up to super heroes such as batman as being good, right and providing hope so when associated with Bin Laden it makes us reconsider our views and attitudes of superheros and evidently hope.
