Intensity In Football

So taking one last look at his deep red face I began to run hard again. This is what I call intensity. Concentration is the key. You have to be focused on what you want to get accomplished. No matter the heat, what your teammates do, or the size of your opponent. When I played sports, no matter how hard things were I remembered what it was all about. I learned from my senior teammates what intensity was all about. It was the end of October; the temperatures had plummeted in the twenties. We had qualified for the playoffs. The team we were to play was a familiar opponent, Carthage, not only was they the best team in the state, but we had just got beaten forty four to seven the previous week. Our best player had sprained his ankle the week before and was playing hurt. He showed us what intensity was. I couldn’t believe how concentrated he was.
