...e of interest to me. I was fortunate that the interviewee was informative, it was only until the evaluation of the interview that I realised how important the information she told me was. The pauses in the interview were due to the fact that the interview had not been structured and planned sufficiently. Often I would stop and there would be silence, in a way this was useful as it shows that (in this case) allowing the interviewee time and freedom resulted in gaining useful information. Structuring the interview would have resulted in more information being found, as well as this it would have made the whole process more professional, and logical. Looking back at the interview everyone agreed that I gained information, but the manner I did so was slightly unorthodox. Also by structuring the interview another of my weaknesses would have been reduced.
