But if we didn't fight battles in our lives, we could never take pride in the courage that we used to win them. Nor could we rejoice in their victory. We would never have found the companionship of the people who helped us win the battles. We would be without the experience or hindsight that inevitably comes from an event or occurrence that challenges our minds, our thoughts, our beliefs, or our bodies.
