...hat I may get hurt. If my mind starts to wander out of the wrestling room and into my daily life I might not perform to my full ability. One of the coaches may spot this, and it will probably make him upset because he wants you to be the best that you can be. Basically it is pretty hard to think about other stuff during practice. There really isn’t much time if I am working out and doing what I am supposed to. My mind is usually only thinking of wrestling, so it is too busy to worry about stress at that time. All through practice the coaches teach us and show us all kinds of new things. To learn them my mind has to be focused on the coaches not on other things. I care about the success of the team as well as others on the team. So because of this I try to stay focused to that I can train myself as well as my teammates. Wrestling is a very physical sport, when in a match people get very rough. Everyday during practice I can take my stress out on someone else when I wrestle them. When I practice with someone beating them up a little bit is ok to do. I can push them around some and I can even pound them on the head some too. I am also aloud to pick them up off the ground then drive them right back into the mat. All of this can only be done in moderation, but it can still help to release some oh my tension from all of the stress. Not only is physical activity good for my body it is good for my mind. Doing the tremendous amount of physical activity involved in wrestling practice makes me feel good about myself. Knowing that I last through practice everyday makes me happy.
