...at the world will be a better place for our children and their grandchildren. I have a dream that the world will be lighted again. Not only must we realize the dream of the environment but that of poverty as well. Poverty is becoming more and more an issue in American society daily. It darkens the streets and alleyways, it burned out the candle of American prosperity. All this happens because someone is asking for a dime on the corner. Despite the booming economy many people find themselves short at the end of the month. Simply giving healthcare to all people, totally banning drugs and tobacco, and helping regulate homelessness could stop this alarming chain of events. Each one of these acts is a match that is trying to light the candle again. If you healthcare is given to all people for free, millions of dollars would be saved each month and if you ban drugs and tobacco not as many people would need healthcare. saving even more money. By doing all this, people would now be able to pay bills and rent on time reducing homelessness. People would finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. With all these changes poverty would become extinct. The most important dream to teens is cutting down on school violence. This shadow is worst of all being the fact that it brings on depression, anger, hate, and even death. The only way to stop school violence is to better enforce zero tolerance policies. These policies are a wonderful idea but must be enforced to stop these acts of violence. Yet we are adding to this shadow of despair b...
