...kills him instantly. The man at his truck begins to run, but is mowed down in Derricks gunfire. The get-away driver then pulls away very quickly, but not before Derrick unloaded four or five shots at the back of the vehicle. Now at this time the man who was robbing the car is still alive and Derrick recognizes him from an earlier feud. Derrick grabs the man pulls him to the curb and then proceeds to make him bite the curb. As the man bites the curb Derrick raises his foot above the mans head and comes down with a thunderous blow to the back of the head that kills the man instantly. In the background Derricks brother Danny has just witnessed the whole incident. The story then flashes forward to the present where Danny is about to leave school and is on his way, when he goes into the bathroom and spots a white boy being pushed around by a group of blacks, the head one is named Little Henry. Henry and Danny exchange a few words but all Danny does is blow smoke in Henrys face. This has started a war between Danny and Henry. On the way home from school Danny thinks about his brothers release from prison and also about how where they live, Venice Beach, has changed so much since Derrick went away. Their dad had moved the family there because it was out of the reach of the gangs and the violence. Danny remembers a basketball game that was played years before in which the whites played the blacks and the whites won. This meant that the blacks were gone for good. Danny looks over and sees Little Henry on the courts and they exchange an evil glance at one another. The rest of the movie revolves around Derrick trying to get out of the D.O.C. or the Disciples of Christ. On the night of his release from prison there is a huge party held in his honor. He is looked upon as an hero to the skinhead community and to all the other misleads youths of the area. Derrick tells Danny that he does not want to him to go to this party. Danny of course begs and pleads for him to let him go but Derrick is firm and says no. The reason he doesn’t want Danny to go is because at the party he is going to announce to the headman Cameron that he is finished with the D.O.C. and that his brother is too. Derrick arrives at the party and gets a kings welcome, and even his ex- girlfriend Stacy is there and greets him in a very sexual manner. After Stacy and Derrick meet they go aside where Stacy proceeds to tell Derrick how much she cares for him, and Derrick asks her to leave with him she says no. Stacy then storms away into the crowd. Derrick goes upstairs to tell Cameron what he is going to do. He gets up there and Danny is in his office. This no doubt pisses Derrick off. He tells Danny to leave and the two talk. Derrick tells Cameron that he is out and his brother is too. Cameron says something to the effect of you may be out but your brother is not, he will come back because he isn’t a pussy like you Derrick. Derrick then beats up Cameron and leaves quickly. He grabs his brother when Stacy announces to the whole crowd that Derrick is out, this sends the crowd in an uproar. He grabs his brother and they leave with Derrick holding a gun at anyo...
