How were the policies and programs of the New Deal consistent with traditional and Democratic views towards the government and the economy?

Deficit spending is was the government spending more money than it receives in revenue. Deficit spending is a characteristic of a Democrat. It was a good thing that they used deficit spending because help start some of the programs that they thought were going to help get out of the depression. They traditional way didn’t not believe in deficit spending. During the Great Depression the government had to get involved so it cold help out the economy. Which is something that the traditional way didn’t want. They like a smaller government. Taxes wear raised for a lot the wealthy people because if they are rich and they pay the same amount as the poor that isn’t fair so the taxes were raised for wealthy because they made more money so they could pay high taxes. That also something against the traditional or Republican because they believed in tax cuts. Hoover the republican president before Roosevelt opposed to the dole. The dole was direct government hand outs like food and cloths. Roosevelt agreed with the dole and it help people stay alive and look for job opportunities. The programs that were made in the New Deal such as the Civilian Conservation Corps helped 18 -25 year old males get jobs on the conservation projects.
