Normal science is the activity in which most scientists are engaged most of the time, and is working out the implications of the dominant paradigm in a given field. The human genome project is the example of normal science. Revolutionary science, another term of science proper, shows contrast with normal science. Revolutionary science seeks to resolve a crisis by constructing a new paradigm to replace the one that has generated the crisis. In other words, when scientists find out something wrong for certain paradigm, they make a new paradigm to replace the wrong one and they research it.
