...s like that. The beginning of act one opens up with a big storm and three witches. Macbeth meets these witches and they tell him some things about his future. At first he doesn’t believe what the witches say. Lady Macbeth thinks otherwise she says “hail, king that shalt be” pg 282. She suggests that Macbeth must take the throne by force. At the end of act one lady Macbeth is beginning to convince Macbeth to kill the king. Macbeth has doubts saying “If we shall fail”. Pg 286 The plays problems start in act two with the killing of the king (Duncan) this is done because of one of Macbeth’s flaws; he is too determined. He doesn’t let anything in the way of his goal to be the king. “I go and it is done: the bell invites me. Hear it not, Duncan, for it is a knell That summons thee to heaven, or to hell.” Pg 292.
