How do you think we can combat and reduce population growth in South Africa in the future?
...e health care. If people have access to family planning services, they can control both the number and spacing of their children. Women want modern contraceptive methods to postpone or avoid future childbearing. If those services were delivered and unwanted births were prevented, population growth would be reduced immediately in S.A. Children must be educated as soon as they reach about 16 as this is the time when they are thinking of having sexual intercourse, they do not know the consequences and need to be educated by their schools and need to know about all the contraceptives that are available today. I feel that I am very privileged to be going to a school like Herzlia where we have teachers educating us about using contraceptives but there are many other schools in South Africa which are underprivileged and are not being educated about using contraceptives. In order to reduce population growth the people of S.A have to take action. People can write to editors of papers and make them aware of population growth and show that it bothers the people of S.A.
