...han classes I had had in the past. My uncertainty about myself and my ability to do well in her chemistry class soon faded when I realized what a dedicated, compassionate teacher I had to help me. She never gave up on me, and was never angered or annoyed by my endless questions. In the two years that I have had the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Masters, she has become much more to me than just someone who taught me chemistry in the eleventh grade. She is someone whom I respect and admire. The type of person that she is is the type of person I hope I can be. Never have I met a teacher who believes in me so strongly and cares so deeply about my accomplishments as she does. At the end of my junior year I promised her I didn’t care what it took I would be sitting up on the stage come graduation day. The look on her face when I told her I was second made all the late night studying and last minute touches seem worthwhile.
