For example, during the Holocaust Hitler and his followers aimed to kill more of Jews. However, in Cambodia the Khmer Rouge killed mostly of Buddhists. Lastly, during the Holocaust there were a much more wide variety of people killed based on their race and ethnicity. For instance, during the Holocaust all the different races that were killed include the Polish Catholics, Serbians, Gypsies, Soviets, Jewish, Jehovah Witnesses and more. In Cambodia only Buddhists and Jews were killed, not being very diverse compared to the amount of different people killed during the Holocaust. The murderers of the Holocaust in Germany and the murderers of the genocide in Cambodia were different. First of all, there were different groups of people doing the murdering in each of these genocides. For example, during the Holocaust Hitler and his Nazi followers did most of the killing. However, in Cambodia the murderers of nearly two million people were Pol Pot and his Khmer Rouge. Even though Hitler and Pol Pot both took over their country’s government, they were very different groups that killed totally different races of people. Secondly, the length of time that each these organized groups stayed in control of their government had a great difference. For example, Hitler and his Nazi army stayed in control of Germany for nearly 12 years as where as Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge kept control of Cambodia for only two to three years. When comparing 12 years to three years there is a great margin of difference. Hitler was in control of Germany four times longer then Pol Pot was of Cambodia. Finally, their views on them killing these innocent lives were very different. For example, the Nazis enjoyed killing Jews very much. Khmer Rouge did not quite know what was going on, and they mostly just followed government procedures and orders of Pol Pot. These views on why they killed all these people were very different. The United States reacted differently to the Holocaust in Germany than the genocide in Cambodia. First off, United States helped stop the Holocaust, but had no business in Cambodia during their genocide. For example, United States attacked concentration camps in Germany to free Jews and also tried to get Hitler out of office to put an end to the Holocaust. However...
